We held our annual Christmas Show on Saturday 16 December!
We had a fantastic day and we were absolutely inundated with entries for all of our classes! Thank you to everybody who joined us and a huge well done – it was fabulous to see so many families and ponies all having fun at the Club.
This year, we were generously supported by two title sponsors – Warwickshire Horseboxes who sponsored all of our show jumping classes, and Bedmax Shavings who sponsored our amazing rosettes by Black Betty Banners. This year’s fun show included:
- All our usual novelty classes such as best mane and tail, and pony the judge would most like to take home (or Santa would like to whisk away, in this case!)
- Fun showjumping classes (all sponsored by Warwickshire Horseboxes) including cross pole jumping, a ride and run and a horse and hound class
- A gymkhana with lots of games including musical poles
Karen Owens (pictured below), who came along with her grandchildren, said, “It was a brilliant day – so much fun, great prizes and the kids all loved it.”
As a Community Amateur Sports Club, providing opportunities for the next generation to develop a love of horses and riding is at the heart of what do at Solihull Riding Club.
We run three fun shows a year at Christmas, Easter and Halloween, which are all aimed at children and their families to enjoy themselves together. Making sure that children have a good experience is so important to us, which is why our team work hard to provide plenty of rosettes, prizes and sweets!
