The final qualifying show in this year’s 608 Equine & Farm Vets Diddy One Event series took place on Saturday 8th August, providing a fantastic day of competition and bringing the qualifying series to a close.
Once again, course builder Mitch did a fabulous job creating flowing, inviting and confidence-giving courses, providing an enjoyable challenge for riders across all levels. The courses were thoughtfully designed to encourage riders and horses while still testing their skills, making for some exciting competition throughout the day.
The event was also characterised by the wonderfully supportive atmosphere between riders, families, friends and supporters. There was plenty of encouragement from the sidelines, with competitors cheering each other on and celebrating one another’s successes. It was a lovely reflection of the friendly and welcoming spirit that makes the Diddy One Event series so special.

Looking ahead to the Championship Show
With the qualifying events now complete, attention turns to the 608 Equine & Farm Vets Diddy One Championship Show, taking place on 19th and 20th September 2026.
Entries are now open, and we look forward to welcoming riders back for another enjoyable and rewarding weekend of competition.

The Championship Show will include Junior, Senior and Non-Qualified Championship sections, ensuring there are classes to suit a wide range of competitors.
Championship classes will follow the same format as the qualifying events, with dressage and showjumping on surfaced arenas, followed by cross-country over our two-field course.
Thanks to the generous support of 608 Equine and Farm Vets, competitors can look forward to:
- Rosettes awarded from 1st to 10th place
- Prizes for 1st to 3rd place
- A trophy and championship sash for each section winner
- A podium presentation for the top three placed competitors in each section
We would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the qualifying series and thank all our competitors, supporters, volunteers, officials and sponsors for making the events such a success.
We are now looking forward to welcoming everyone back on 19th and 20th September for what promises to be a fantastic Championship weekend of eventing.
