We’re Hiring: Marketing & Events Coordinator

📍 Location: Solihull Riding Club (on‑site)
💼 Salary: £27,000 per annum
🕒 Hours: Full time | 5 days in 7, including regular weekends and event days
👤 Reports to: Head of Commercial Operations


About Us

Solihull Riding Club is a thriving, non‑profit Community Amateur Sports Club set within 160 acres of beautiful countryside. We deliver a packed calendar of competitions, clinics, member activities and third‑party events, while also offering both riding and dog‑walking membership and housing several on‑site businesses.

As we enter an exciting phase of income diversification, we’re looking for a motivated team player who wants to get involved in creative marketing, hands‑on event delivery and community‑focused projects that go beyond the equestrian and canine world.

✨ The Role: Marketing & Events Coordinator

This is a varied, fast-paced role based at our busy equestrian venue, combining digital marketing, event support, front-of-house operations and everyday administration. You’ll be the friendly face of the Club for members, riders and visitors, as well as the creative mind behind our marketing and communications. An interest in, or knowledge of, the equestrian world would be highly desirable to help engage with our community and support our events and activities.

Your Core Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Create and schedule engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
  • Design digital assets and graphics using Canva
  • Maintain and refresh website content
  • Develop campaigns to grow engagement and reach
  • Produce our fortnightly Members’ Round Up
  • Respond professionally to social media enquiries
  • Track performance data and report insights
  • Ensure branding consistency and fulfil sponsor commitments

Events & Competition Support

  • Assist with planning and delivering Club events
  • Work regular event days (including weekends)
  • Prepare paperwork, signage and operational documents
  • Support registration, results management and rider enquiries
  • Capture real‑time content for social media

Member & Visitor Support

  • Be the first point of contact for members, riders, spectators and visitors
  • Provide a welcoming, friendly front‑of‑house presence

Day‑to‑Day Administration

  • Handle general admin, enquiries and payments
  • Keep our office environment organised and professional
  • Support seamless day‑to‑day operations across the Club


About You

Essential

  • 3–5 years’ experience in marketing, communications or events
  • Confident using Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
  • Strong Canva and digital content skills
  • Warm and friendly communicator
  • Highly organised and able to multitask
  • Comfortable with admin and front‑of‑house duties
  • Able to work weekends and flexible hours (5 in 7)
  • Interest or background in equestrian sport

Desirable

  • Photography or videography skills
  • Experience in events, sports clubs or community venues
