The latest 608 Equine Vets Diddy One Day Event, held at Solihull Riding Club in June, proved to be another outstanding success, attracting a record number of entries and creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.
Riders of all ages took part, with both adults and children enjoying the opportunity to experience the excitement and challenge of a one-day event in a friendly and supportive environment.
Despite the warm weather, the ground conditions remained excellent thanks to the hard work and dedication of Mitch and the grounds team, who ensured the course was presented to a high standard for all competitors.
The event was filled with encouragement, sportsmanship and smiles, with many riders visibly growing in confidence as the day progressed. It was equally rewarding to see so many happy ponies enjoying their day out.
The Diddy One Day Event series has been specifically designed for riders who may not yet feel ready to tackle a full British Eventing cross-country course, which typically begins at 70cm. Offering classes from 40cm upwards, the series provides an accessible and welcoming introduction to eventing. Juniors competing in the 40cm and 50cm classes can receive assistance, while callers are permitted for all riders during the dressage phase, helping to create a positive and confidence-building experience.
There is also plenty to compete for throughout the series, with the top 10 competitors in each class earning qualification for the Championship Show in September.
Following another highly successful event, Solihull Riding Club is already looking forward to welcoming riders back for the next Diddy One Day Event on Saturday 4 July. Competitors are encouraged to secure their entries early and join in another memorable day of grassroots eventing.
