At the end of July, lots of our members represented Solihull Riding Club at the British Riding Clubs Area 5 Showjumping and Style Qualifier, held here at the Riding Club.
The Showjumping competition consists of two showjumping rounds; one held in the Agria Outdoor Arena and the second consisting of the second round and jump off course in the main Indoor Arena. The Style Jumping competition was held outdoors on grass, and unlike a regular showjumping competition its main aim is to test the rider’s ability to demonstrate a good jumping technique.
As always, the Solihull teams did an absolutely fantastic job and we’re pleased to say that we came away with some brilliant results:
🌟 Senior 70 Showjumping – Team First 🌟
Casey Rose and EW Tanzanite, Samantha Hadley and Emporers Roulette, Sally Staniforth and Belfast Boy and Ann Shearing and Merlin II
🌟 Senior 70 Showjumping – Team Fifth 🌟

Such fantastic results mean that we came away with lots of qualifications for the BRC National Championships at Lincoln at the end of August. Congratulations to everyone who qualified, and thank you for supporting Solihull Riding Club!
This competition was also the first one with our new Senior Showjumping Manager Lydia Joyce in charge of our team. Lydia did a fantastic job of organising everybody – congratulations to her on such a successful first competition as Team Manager. Lydia also deserves a special mention for riding Hannah Wilson’s Havall BH (Percy) in the 90 team after only having ridden him a couple of times, and helping her team to team first!
