Friday 24 November saw the return of our annual Winter Ball, which we hosted yet again at our neighbours Hogarths Hotel.
It was wonderful to be joined by so many of our members, volunteers, competitors and supporters and we’d like to take the opportunity to thank you all for coming and for being so generous in your support for the Club. It was a fabulous fundraising event and we’re pleased to say that with your help, we raised £510 for the Club!
This year’s Ball was particularly special as it also marked the 80th anniversary of Solihull Riding Club. Over the past 80 years the Club has evolved from a small members’ Club with a field, to owning the competition centre and 220-acre site we benefit from being located on today.
We also presented the annual Riding Club team awards, which celebrate the amazing successes of the individuals who make up our Junior and Senior British Riding Club teams, as well as a few extra awards for those who make particularly outstanding contributions to our Club.
