Facilities update 18/05/2020


We would like to start by saying a huge ‘thank you’ for your continued support and patience following on from the BEF statement last week.

After several meetings surrounding the re-opening of the facilities at SRC, we are finally closer to pulling together the availability of some of the areas at the Riding Club. These are spaces we feel comfortable and confident that will meet the COVID19 government guidelines.

Please bear with us whilst we make final amendments to these plans. We should have further details towards the end of this week but we hope you will be happy with the results.

Your safety is our priority, so we want to ensure that all aspects have been thoroughly covered.

BEF Statement 11/05/2020:

Following the Prime Minister’s statement on Sunday, British Equestrian, in close consultation with British Dressage, British Eventing, British Showjumping and The Pony Club, is awaiting further sport sector-specific guidance from the government and DCMS.

Once we have clarification around what aspects of equestrian activity may be able to resume from Wednesday 13 May, in line with the revisions and taking into consideration regional variations, we will be in a better position to release clear and objective advice for stakeholders across the member bodies. This will be communicated as soon as is practicable, but in the meantime we thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we endeavour to provide the most up-to-date and accurate guidance for all involved in our sector.

The Nose Bag Catering

The Team at the Nose Bag Catering are continuing to work hard during this difficult period to ensure hygiene is our top priority. The kitchen is sanitized as standard every day, the seating area has been sanitized including all surfaces and doors and will continue to be at regular intervals throughout each day that we are open.
Given the latest advise around social distancing we have spread the tables out and we are also offering a telephone order service for those who don’t want to come inside the restaurant, you can ring on either numbers provided and we can get your food ready and bring it outside to you.

Coronavirus update 17/03/20


Unfortunately during the current circumstances surrounding the government Coronavirus update, SRC have taken the decision to cancel all March competitions. Tuesday evening dressage is cancelled as is BD on Thursday and the first aid course on Friday 20/03/20. Thank you for your understanding.

Individual hire will still be available with increased hygiene precautions in place.

Horses Inside Out

We are excited to have Gillian Higgins here at Solihull Riding Club on the evening of 31st March for a Horses Inside Out demo! During the demonstration, using 2 horses painted with a variety of anatomical  structures, Gillian will look at posture, performance and how your horse moves from an anatomical and biomechanical perspective. Covering ways to improve flatwork, pole work, and jumping, she will also demonstrate ridden and Pilates type exercises from which your horse can benefit.  This promises to be an inspiring evening with plenty of tips and ideas for you to try at home. Tickets are £20 for BRC Area 5 members, and £25 for non members. Tickets available to buy at the following link:
