Boundary Ride Closed

Please note that the Boundary Ride will be closed from Thursday 17th to Monday 21st August, reopening on Tuesday 22nd after the British Eventing Horse Trials that we are holding this weekend.

The Member’s / XC Training Field will also be closed on Saturday & Sunday this week as we use it for additional car parking.

Job Vacancy – Full Time Grounds Team Member



Opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward thinking person. Must have clean driving licence. Post includes management of grounds and arenas, routine maintenance, repairs and painting, building fences and show set up.

Experience with all types of farm machinery along with Carpentry / DIY skills preferred. Opportunity to train including Equestrian course building and design.

This post is physically demanding and is based on 40 hour week on flexible roster, working 5 days in 7, weekends and some evenings included.

Grounds & Centre Early Closing & Cancellation of Clear Round Showjumping

Please note that due to the Travellers moving again in the area and looking for a new location to set up camp (on a hard standing area) the club and car park will be closed from 17:00 today. Anyone wishing to walk dogs after this time, please park near the XC Training / Member’s Field gate.

The scheduled Mixed Clear Round Showjumping is also cancelled tonight.

We apologise for any inconvenience, but currently feel that we are better to secure the premises rather than risk being invaded by caravans.

Car Park & Grounds Security

Please note that due to the current situation with a large number of Travellers in the local area, the car park gates will be locked each night from 20:00 to 07:00 until further notice.

Any dog walkers wishing to use the grounds during these times need to park near the XC training field or on the verges near the gates (without blocking the driveway)

Please be aware that any cars still on the car park when security come to lock up will be locked in until the following morning.

Member’s Field Bank Holiday Weekend

Due to running the SRC Summer Show and Community Fun Day the Members Field / XC Hire Field will be closed on Saturday 27th May. It will remain closed on Sunday 28th & Monday 29th as the Packington Dog Show are using the space. Any members wishing to use a field are welcome to come and use the old member’s field at the top of the drive, just pop into the office for the gate code. The Boundary Ride will be closed on Sunday 28th between 10:00 – 14:00 when we area running Clear Round XC on the Main XC course.

The office will be manned as normal on Sunday and between 10:00 – 16:00 on Bank Holiday Monday.

Easter Weekend

The club and grounds will be open all over the Easter weekend.

Office opening hours: Good Friday 09:00 – 16:00 / Saturday 15th 09:00 – 17:00 – Unaffiliated Show Jumping / Easter Sunday 09:00 – 17:00  / Easter Monday 09:00 – 16:00

Please make sure that you call the office during these times to access gate codes.


Table Top Tack Sale & Easter Quiz Night

A quick reminder that the Table Top Tack Sale will be taking place on Friday 31st March from 6.00 – 9.00pm in the main building, entrance for buyers is just £1.00.

The following week we are holding our Easter Eggstravaganza Quiz Night with Supper in the upstairs function room. Tickets £10 from the office – maximum 6 per team.
